Hello Parks and Open Space Volunteers,
It is once again time for the Annual Marin County Parks and Open Space Department's Volunteer Recognition Picnic at McNear's Beach Park. It is happening on Saturday, September 11th, 2010 from 11am-2pm. Your invitation is attached to this email. This is our way of saying thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers. It allows us to recognize your valuable community service. If you haven't been volunteering much lately but are interested in getting back in to it this is also a great way to get reacquainted with the program. Come out and be inspired. As always, the Ranger staff will prepare a delicious meal including BBQ tri-tip, chicken, grilled vegetables, and other tasty treats. Feel free to bring a favorite dish to share. Participants will receive "door" prizes and we'll provide a snow cone machine and a jumper for the kids. You may even be the recipient of a volunteer award.
This is a family event, so bring the entire gang for a day of fun in the sun at McNears Beach Park, 201 Cantera Way, San Rafael. Parking fee waived for volunteers. Please RSVP by Wednesday, September 8th.
